so i’ve covered the superfruit avocado, then there’s the superveg kale, now meet the supergrain people!!
as with superfoods, the health benefits of quinoa are remarkable! i’ve heard much about it, had wanted to try it but never got down to doing it till now…and O boy, what have i been missing! well, as the nutrients found in quinoa are too numerous & great to list here, i strongly encourage you toread it up on your own here.
so i tried my hand at quinoa today. as easy as abc. as easy as preparing couscous & bulghur wheat. taste & texture slightly similar to couscous. and they looked very cute when cooked, with their white germ partially detached itself, looking like the letter ‘c’ in tiny form.
i added tomatoes & prunes (with garlic powder, salt & paprika) to it & we had it with crispy baked salmon (i rolled salmon in mixture of chilli powder, shredded cheese, breadcrumbs, dill & baked for about 25mins) and salad (roasted peppers & mushrooms, shredded zucchini in red wine vinegar). supergrain with superb taste!
